Dr Amy Firth, originally from Melbourne, moved to Western Australia to study the Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine course at Murdoch University. Previously to this she has completed a Bachelor of Agriculture at University of Melbourne. Whilst at vet school, Dr Amy worked in a busy 24-hour emergency vet clinic molding a real interest in emergency medicine. Since graduating in 2023, Dr Amy has practiced in busy small animal clinics overseeing a range of different cases, however her true passion lies within the field of surgery. She hopes to continue developing her surgical skills into the future.

When not at work, Dr Amy likes to spend her time either at the beach, surfing, exercising, camping or reading a good book. You will almost always find her outdoors in the sunshine! Dr Amy has a 3yo Border Collie called Fury and a 4yo Domestic Shorthair called Lenny. These boys rule her life and she wouldn’t have it any other way!

Dr Amy is excited to be a part of the Brighton Vet Team and looks forward to forming relationships with clients and providing care and compassion towards their fur babies.
